Cisco have just announced that they are dropping the Flip
camcorder line, they are doing this under a company wide restructuring plan which takes them back to focus on their core business. The Flip being a casualty of this restructuring, even though there was a cult following for the product. In this day of one trick ponies, the Flip didn't cut it, it needed to be more than a camera, the iPhone and other smart phones are doing more and appealing to consumers. After all you only have so many pockets to cram your electronic goodies into!
